Li Ran portrays a defiant woman who finds herself in a dire predicament after failing to settle her debts. A relentless debt collector, having tracked her down, confronts her in her own home, resorting to physical force to demand payment. Her refusal and threats to involve the authorities only escalate his fury.

Enraged, the collector subdues her, and she awakens to find herself bound. He devises a cruel mechanism: a spring anchored to the floor, threaded through pulleys, and connected to an electric tool. With the flick of a switch, he subjects her to a torturous up-and-down motion, relentlessly pressing her for the outstanding amount. Her pleas and cries of agony are met with further silencing as her mouth is gagged with stockings.

The torment intensifies with the insertion of a steel needle into her chest, followed by the application of clamps, pushing her to the brink in a desperate attempt to extract payment.
